The little girl inside me is screaming right now to be in the salon as a child flicking through this same magazine thinking "wooow look how beautiful these women are" getting hair inspo to now MY hairstyles are the hair inspo!
This is truly a major achievement in my career thankyou god!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to be on BeautyMe Podcast hosted by Charisse Kenion ; a vibrant intelligent video journalist with a passion for fashion, beauty and makeup. On my episode we spoke about my passion and love for the 90s hair era and how much influence it has had on Hoochteestyles. This episode really meant a lot to me as i really got to go into depth with speaking on how life was for me as a teenager finding out i had a talent for hair and really diving into that and experimenting!
On the run up to this episode airing myself and Charisse Kenion decided to collab on a shoot taking place in my local beauty supply shop and let me tell you it was Amazing!

Black Beauty & Hair magazine holds a special place in my heart, as it was the source hair inspiration during my childhood and teenage years. I would eagerly flip through its pages while waiting my mum or aunty to finish their salon appointments. It's a nostalgic reminder of the beauty and creativity that has always surrounded me Hair has been an important part of my childhood and teenage years, closely linked to UK black culture.
It’s truly wonderful to now receive recognition for my own hair journey and to inspire others. Thank you for shining a light on this beautiful aspect of our culture

Experience a fresh take on the 90s aesthetic with our latest photoshoot, where we blend high fashion with nostalgic elements. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Brooklyn, New York, we explored three unique locations: a charming brownstone, a lively deli mini-mart, and a scenic walkway. The shoot features a fusion of late 90s hairstyles paired with contemporary outfits, all styled by me. Join us as we redefine the classic look for today's fashion landscape.

Clothing Styling - This Outfit I decided to channel an early 2000's ghetto fabulous look with an uptown bouji twist. I styled the model in a Cargo Skort with a matching corset top paired with an oversized cropped shirt and gold accessories. The contrast of the colours in this outfit complement each other perfectly.​
This outfit could be paired with both heels or flats, fit for any occasion.

I had the pleasure of styling Ivorian Doll for her ''Sexy Freestyle (Get it Ivy)" music video, embracing a vibrant 90s Freaknik theme. She rocked my most requested hairstyle, the Pincurl half up-half down with a swoop perfectly complementing her look. I dressed her in a striped towel material shorts co-ord set paired with clear Platform Perspex Heels, capturing that authentic Hoochie mama vibe. To top it off, I accessorized her with bold gold jewellery, ensuring she embodied the true Freaknik spirit, and she was thrilled with the final result!
